training courses that teach people working in HIV prevention and care

Sexuality and HIV Training Programme
This course focuses on the essential link
between sexuality, human rights, and development in the context of HIV.
15-day course

Counselling Training Programme
This course covers the basics of counselling
as well as specific issues related to sexuality, HIV and AIDS.
15-day comprehensive

Foundation Training Programme
This is a basic, interactive orientation
course aims to foster appropriate attitudes, provide necessary
information, and build essential skills to handle relevant issues. 
6-day course
Targeted for mid-level
staff in sexuality, reproductive health, HIV and AIDS work
Helps participants
understand the nature, elements, and planning of community based
interventions
Covers issues of
communication, relationships, counselling, sexuality, gender,
reproductive health, HIV and AIDS, and human rights Maximum of 30
participants, counsellors, field staff, nurses, peers, and management
executives
Peer Educator Training Programme
This programme trains peers to understand community
outreach around peer-based interventions.
Develop an understanding of complex
issues routed in disempowerment and abuse
Peers encouraged to explore
fundamental and traditional areas of work relating to communication,
relationships, sexual and reproductive infections, and sexuality
Supervision Training Programme
This intensive course supports people in professional and
supervisory positions. The programme builds on the concepts of
professional and personal endeavours.
Requires 80 teaching
hours and 20 hours of one-to-one group tutorials
Supports participants'
ability to include elements of education, personal growth, programme
administration, and organization into their training experience
Participants are
encouraged to integrate lessons learned into their daily work
responsibilities
