Developing organizational values, policies and capacity

Siaap strongly believe that for strategies and initiatives to work effectively, the people involved must internalise the values and principles that govern them. This calls for a conscious articulation of such principles, structured processes to convert them to policy, and ongoing support and capacity building to enable all members of the organization to fulfill their professional and personal development.

Specific policies at Siaap include:

  • Affirmative action with reference to employment of women, disabled people, PLHAs, women in sex work, and gay and bisexual men.
  • Access to regular medical care for PLHAs.
  • Skill building of people from marginalized communities to lead appropriate programme within Siaap.
